Take full advantage of your time in Africa on this tour that highlights the natural beauty, vibrant local culture, and delicious coffee of Tanzania. The day will start with 9am pick-up from your hotel and a 30 minute drive to Materuni village. Here you will immerse yourselves in the lives of the Chagga people who are native to the village. Learn about their local culture, and one of their most important sources of income – coffee. You will walk through a plantation, and learn how they grow and brew their own coffee, tasting samples along the way.
After the tour, head to the nearby Materuni Waterfalls for an afternoon of swimming and exploration. With a height of 150m, the falls are nestled into the lush green forests at the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Enjoy your packed lunch as you observe the many bird species flying by, and rest in the fresh air of the African forest. Following your time at the waterfalls, you will head back to your hotel in Moshi.
