Starting in Jaen (with direct flights from Lima), you’ll enjoy a scenic drive through the cloud forest to the village of Cocachimba. Your hotel offers impressive views of Gocta waterfalls.

Get up close to one of the world’s tallest waterfalls, with an invigorating morning hike with a private guide. You’ll walk through sugarcane plantations and forests teeming with monkeys before arriving at the base of the falls.

The highlight of the trip is a full day exploring Kuelap fortress. After a drive from Cocachimba and a scenic cable car ride over the cloud forest, enjoy a private tour, learning about the mysterious Chachapoyas civilization who built the impressive fortress, the largest ancient stone structure in the Americas.
